I've read most of the threads, and have not noticed anything that covers my question.....and I want to ask before I do the slice fix.
I have the same prob as most...window randomly let's down on its own...will go up, but not back down. Cleaned contacts,etc....worked BEAUTIFULLY....until the next morning. Even swapped relays.
Here's what I noticed..... unhook battery....or pull the fuse to gem...when you plug it back in, the gem cycles the relay and drops the window (even without the ignition on), then back to the same old problem. I know the auto down contact is not stuck ( I took it off...lol).
My question is...does that sound like a gem prob, or a short/broken wire? Just wondering, hopeing to save a little time before I just splice the switch.
