2wd lift questions
Hey everyone,
I am still relatively new to all of this and I do not know much about my truck. I own a 2000 F-150 4.6l Lariat Super Cab flareside 2wd. I have read around and looked on several forums for my desired look. I have found a few but haven't gotten any feedback in these last two months. I was hoping to run 33inch tires with 18inch wheels. I was just wondering if anyone could show me there lifted Fx2's or if they could provide me some insight on the situation. I would rather not have any size lift about 3 inches. Suggestions and pictures would be great. Thanks for everything in advance!!! |
33's can be done on 3" depending on the tires width and the wheel specs (offset/backspacing and width). Do you have an idea of what wheels you want to run or how wide of a tire you'd like to fit?

You can run 33s on a 2WD with a simple 2" front leveling kit. Technically my tires are still metric sized (285/70/17), but it equates to roughly a 32.7" tire, which is close enough to 33" for me. This is a simple, inexpensive way to put 33s on your truck without having to lift it.
Attachment 10584 Attachment 10585 However, if you want the real deal, a 3" suspension lift is the way to go. You could also do a 3" body lift; it's substantially cheaper but doesn't look quote as good as a suspension lift. |
