I got the front bumper on my 97 F-150 buggered up recently and am now trying to find a replacement. So far, 0 for 3 at junkyards, but plan to look a bit more on Monday. However, I'm not optimistic - junkyard trucks that old tend to have pretty beat up bumpers.

Dealer replacements are prohibitively expensive, on the order of 400-500 bucks.

I found an aftermarket unit at LMCtruck for $160, but they want $125 shipping! However, the $285 total ain't all that bad.

Also found one at discountbodyparts.com for $177 delivered.

I'd line to hear what others think. Will these be of decent quality? Do you have any experiences to share? Thanks.

BTW, my bumper is chrome without the fog light holes, but with the center opening.
