2002 Ford F150

Hey guys, just working on a buddies truck. His fuel guage stopped working the other day. Looked in dealer test mode had dtc 9202 fuel sender open. Dropped the tank and removed the sender. everything seemed fine when i checked the resistence on it. Cycled the sender and watched the screen in DTM and it was cycling all the way through. removed the cluster and tested the yellow/white wire for resistance while cycling the sender, also good. Suspect its a faulty guage in the cluster. The issue now is the local Ford dealer says they no long make a cluster for the vehicle.

Any ideas if I may have missed somthing?

In addition, if you get a cluster from a junk yard, the truck will no longer start. The cluster, GEM, and PCM are all in a love triangle.

Sorry, I don't know about the fuel gauge. I haven't been inside my cluster for a while, but the gauges may be individually replaceable. Maybe someone else will chime in.

I am not sure if you can replace that or not its somthing in the electrical board I think. The mechanical part or it works on the guage test. Just doesnt read correctly.
