Went with cherry bomb extreme single in dual out with magnaflow tips. Still not as loud and annoying as I would like but it does sound good. I was going to go with duals out the back but figured everyone has them so thats why I decided with side pipes. I can always change them later if I want. I had them clamped not welded.

I know that feeling quite well . . . but that should be loud enough to drown out the NG plant!

That looks great though! Tires and wheels look good too

With the cats on our truck, no muffler will achieve the sound/tone/volume you probably desire. You'll have to address those in the future to get where you want.

I thought the exact same thing when I had my Magnaflow put on. In fact, I was originally dissapointed that my old Flowcrapper was actually louder. However, the sound 'quality' is significantly better with the magnaflow and the truck actually runs and drives noticeably better.

Good luck with your chosen exit location however. I had that exact setup with my previous exaust and the tips get literally demolished by crap from the front wheels. No matter what I did, I could not stay ahead of the finish and dings and crap from the tire. The Lightning faired much better with this exhaust location cause it had the bodywork surrounding the tips for protection. Do you have the 4" $70+ tips like I do?? Those are nice to get trashed. But, they are great quality tips so maybe they'll hold up well. Mine were cheap ones the first time around.

Judging by the picture in your signature block, I see 2WD (i.e. low to the ground & mild tires) plus the big tube step bars. Mine is 4WD, tall, mud tires, and no step bars or anything else that offered any protection; thus, mine got tore up in a relatively short amount of time.

Not bagging on your comment, just compairing since he looks to be more in my situation than yours.

Did you happen to notice less drone in the cab after you moved the exit to behind the tire?

Oh yeah! A substantial amount quieter now with it behind the tire.

right on brother! I had actually considered exiting in front of the rear tire myself, but was worried about the in cab drone. Thanks for shedding some light on that for me. I want a louder exhaust OUTSIDE the truck without gaining much drone INSIDE... I love my handsfree sync and don't want to disrupt it at all... LOL! Thanks again! Greatly appreciated sir!

I dont mind the noise in the cab. Man I drive a POS hyundai accent to work, if that isnt quite I dont know what is. But when I get in my truck I want that rumble. Always liked it. If I could get away with it in PA I would run zoomies out the hood LOL. Not kidding either. But as for the tips they are 4" magnaflows. My buddy gets a big discount on auto parts so he hooked me up when he did my exaust. They were only about 15 a tip for me, not sure how much they are normally though?. They should hold up for a little bit if not I will just get new ones. Might just have to stone guard the tips, who knows. Never seen it done yet. We will see how long these hold up first.

Jeez my tips are $75 a pop.

But I too like the rumble and drone even in the cab. I want to be able to hear it clearly when I stomped on it on the highway with the windows up, but that's rare for someone to like that haha. My resonators are coming off once I get rid of the dang y pipe . . . long tubes deserve an x.

What the hell are zoomies? Slang for demo-derby style "headers" through the hood?

Dont know if I spelled that right haha. Hood stacks!!! That would be drone, huh? If I cant hear it in the cab I think I would have wasted my money. Its nice to have friends with access to parts like that and have inspection license lol. Normally with admissions it would cost I think 50, I paid 22. Like a sore peter, you cant beat it!
