Could be a major problem?
In the last few days I noticed a ticking noise coming from the top of the engine. Both when cold and warm.
This morning I was in town and noticed the noise was almost gone and than all of a sudden I heard a loud noise started in the same area. I stopped and parked it. (Had to find a drive home). I notice when I started it again the noise is around the top of the engine and it makes a loud poping/compress air like noise. If I give it fuel the noise increase in speed.
I'll be towing it back to the house in an hour.
Anyone have an idea?

Ok, just check a youtube video about blown plug and that is the noise it's making. Thanks for the help.
Now to get it home and work on it
BTW, what's the chance of driving it home in that condition? I have about 3 miles?

Truck is now home. Had to tow. The plug was laying on the side and all it's threads was ok. So I thought it came loose. I tried to put the plug back in and it fell straight down in the motor. Guess there's a big hole! lol
Oh, well now what!

contact board member Galaxy. He rents the stuff to install a timesert thread repair. Do NOT heilcoil it. Infact do not use any other repair method only timesert and repairs like it work. Its easy Galaxy will help you through it.
Better examine the plug bore carefully to see if it can even in fact take a Timesert. If the hole is THAT big, it may not!

Ok, got a little excited
The hole isn't big at all, the plug was sitting where the threads would be. Looks like the threads is gone and it looks like a very smooth hole. Just cannot screw in the plug.
So I'm guessing I can use the timesert?
