Shock replacements

I am looking into getting some new shocks for my 02 screw. It's 4x4 and has some kyb monomaxs on it now. They are pretty durable but with these and turn the torsion bars about an inch it makes my truck ride like a wagon in my opinion. I want some shocks that will impove ride without making it feel too top heavy. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

I got Rancho 9000xl on the rear and they have an adjustment dial to make it stiffer or looser to your liking. I like mine pretty stiff so I go about 8 in front and 7 in back.

My FX4 came with Rancho shocks. I thought the ride was too stiff so I replaced them with Monroe gas shocks which softened the ride just a little. Some new Michelins improved the ride too. But I have to admit, the difference with the Monroes didn't really justify the cost.
