Question Anyone here ever lost a fuse box lid?

Well, I guess i did. I went to go check under the hood and noticed i could see all my fuses. What the heck? Has anyone else here had that problem in the past? Im sure it was there last week. I did go down a washboard fire road the other day, maybe it just up and left. But with that, one would guess it would have stayed beneath the hood somewhere. Thoughts?

Your referring to the PDB under the hood , - driver-side correct, for an 02 MY.

Yea , that's an almost water proof box, until someone directs a pressure washer stream under it...Can you say "short" 5 times real fast, do it, faster. Yup, that's what they and that's what they sound after water intrusion.

Really, the only PITA trying to find a lid new or used it should Model Year specific. Ford changed that stuff around from year to year.

At least customize a big zip lock (not the cheap type lol) until you locate a cover or a replacement box w/cover. The correct lid is what makes it water proof enough and locks down fairly well.

Try TASCA and Rock Auto for a replacement lid, - or that's an easy one to find at the U-pic yards. Might cost yuh 5 or 10.

Well, the more I look at it, the more I think someone else may have lost theirs and decided that mine was a lot cheaper to grab. Hard to believe that cover just fell off. I guess I'll never know. But, local ford dealer got me one for $$. ARGH!!

Yea, it's hard for that one just to shake off. Possible tho, maybe it wasn't fastened right before? Trust me, if you hadn't noticed it, things could have ended up much worse. That's not one you want to ignore.

Good Job, -
