Rear Frame Replacement Suggestions
Rear Frame Replacement Suggestions
I am replacing the rear frame section of my 2000 F150.
Have purchased used frame from texas and cleaned and painted it.
Have removed bed and bumper.
Ready to raise rear end off ground so I can remove rear frame section.
Need to get tips on how to adequately support cab while I drill out the 14 rivets since rear will be off the ground.
Worried that when I knock out the cross frame support when drilling out the 14 rivets, I will make supporting the truck somewhat precarious, front of front spring shackles.
Any help from any of you who have done this rear frame replacement would be great. All tips welcomed.
Thank you.

Just leave the front tires on the ground and raise the rear portion supporting it at the area near the forward leaf spring hanger. If you removed everything you "should" have before starting this, there really won't be that much weight back there that will cause a problem.
