I would just like to share this thread from NHTOC that helped me install the DeeZee tailgate assist on my Screw F150.

I searched this forum for the info but couldn't find it.

So does the 02 kit not install as it was intended?

You can use all the parts that come with the standard 97 -03 f150 kit but you have to drill a hole and modify the bracket the shock mounts to.
