Well I just bought new ION wheels and Cooper AT3 285's. Spent about 1500 total, leveled the truck, cleaned it up, doing all the maintance and now today when I double checked the height I got from cranking the T-keys I noticed the bottom of my trans was wet!!!! WTF. Seems the truck dont want me to put money into her LOL. It was wet at the drain plug and went straight back, looks like just from driving it slung to the rear a bit not much. Im hoping its just a drain plug seal. I just had the fluid and filter changed to! Its not leaving a puddle under the truck as it sits in the garage so it would be very noticiable. Is there a OEM plug that you all reccommend that will stay sealed? The one on it now seems to have a rubber gromet that I dont really care for.

Most /any parts store should have a replacement drain plug for the oil pan. & yes those seals can go bad.

If you really like the factory item...I'm sure you can get one from the local dealership....or the local salvage yard if price becomes a concern.

the only thing that I would be concerned about...IF you didn't do the oil change yourself....is that the shop that did do it cross-threaded the threads in the threads in the oil pan itself. SO check for that too. And if that is the case...pretty sure there is a oversized self tapping oil plug that can be had....again most parts stores carry that

Is it the engine oil plug or the tranny plug?

It is tranny plug. Its the 4R100. I took it for a drive to heat it up today to see if I could pin point it and its dry? BUT around that rubber gromet I mentioned earlier it seemed to be a little damp, Wasnt dripping or nothing just very little damp. Going to take it to the body shop this week after I replace the drain plug and see what its going to cost to get the paint freshened up. Might as well make her look pretty if im goinna keep it. I did screw up the top pc of rubber molding right above the windsheild when trying to fix some very small paint chips, I cant get it back in the grove and the local parts stores dont seem to carry new ones.
