My illumination on my light switch only works if you tap on the front of it, and if you get it to illuminate it won't stay on, it will not work next time the switch is turned to illuminate the radio, instrument panel and a/c,and gauges, currently the only illumination I am getting out of it are the orange lights for fog lights and headlight delay , what could possibly be wrong with it?

 

I would say it sounds like either a loose connection on a wire or your switch is starting to go out. You should pul it out and check wires behind it.

 

could be a solder connection on the circuit board inside the switch....
