Finally after 2 years I have got proper power steering back again. I had tried all kinds of pumps. Four to be exact. The worst was Auto Zone. Their reman pump looked like crap. Stripped plugs. I even used Neal the HP freaks old pump. They kept giving out after a few hrs/days/weeks. I would have to rev the engine with my foot on the clutch for the pump to produce enough pressure to turn the wheels. Well about a month ago the latest pump dies. No power at all. After I almost got a hernia trying to parallel park I decided to try another pump. I went back to Autozone and those **** farts tried to sell me a pump that had a leak in the shaft. O'Reilly Auto Parts was just down the road and their pump is on there now.

 

hope this one is good to go for awhile....

 

2 years????? geez!!!

 

I'd be tempted to start collecting junkyard pumps.................
