power steering pump

I have a feeling my power steering pump is going out on my 97 f150... when I turn the slightest I feel a weird vibration kinda. Its hard to explain and it makes a whining noise but I'm not sure if its a characteristic of the truck seeing ad I just got it two months ago. If it is my pump what all would I need to do to replace it besides the obvious and getting the pump, gaskets? Special tools? And tips and tricks? I'm pretty good at doing things myself with some guidance but not so much at trouble shooting the issues. Thanks

Take a turkey baster and suck all the fluid out of the reservoir. Replace it with synthetic ATF. Repeat every 2 weeks till you have used up a quart bottle.
