New wheels
New wheels
I know i had quite a few posts about wheels and offsets and etc trying to decide on new rims.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the help and I finally went with the AR901 wheels in chrome with an upgrade to 17 x 8.5 wheels with 0 offset and most likely 265/65/17 tires top them off. Will stick out a little more than my factory ones did but it will give it just a little better stance.
Here is what they look like and its a new style for 2013.

Well it was looking good for install today but things went south. Got a deal on some new 265/65/17 Michelin LTX M/S 2 today and after install brought them home to other house to install and then trouble...The install kit lugs and lock set are 14mm x 1.5 and wont fit the truck. Called the people and they are trying to get some new lug nuts to me by Mon.
Almost there but so far away....LOL No garage here at this house so wife will be less than enthused by the tires on a tarp by her front door for the night...
Yes I am also still old school....I like chrome and white letter tires and even the pain of cleaning them..

Thanks for the compliment. Cant wait to get them on and check it out. They do stick out about a inch more or so than the stock 16 wheels I had before. This should give it a little better stance looking from the back..

Finally installed after a wait for the lugs to arrive....These wheels are really going to fun to clean but the Michellin tires really changed the way truck handles for the better..
With the new 17x8.5s with 265/65/17

old OEM rims and tires with 16x7 and 255/70/16

Sure does look really good all done. Nice looking setup
Thanks for the compliments guys. I actually took a ride last night of about 120 miles. These tires are a huge improvement over the almost new Bridgestones I had on before. Ride is more responsive and smoother with the new Michellins. I also lost a small vibration that I have had for yrs and it was most likely from one of the old rims.
