Easiest/cheapest way to lift my 2wd F150

I'm looking for the easiest and cheapest way to lift my truck. It's a 2000 F150 2wd Ext cab, currently it has a 2" leveling kit but I want to go higher. What are my options?

Any pic's of your lifted 2wd's and links are appreciated.

I know the rear is going to be lift blocks and possibly longer shocks but what about the front?

Read the suspension section sticky. It'll cover it all.

I read the sticky but it didn't really answer my questions. I think im going with 3.5" spindles and keeping my 2" spacer uptop.

Will I need longer shocks?
Longer springs?
Extend brake lines?
Aftermarket control arms?

The rear Im going with a block but not sure if a 4" or 6" would level it out.

Will I need longer shocks in the rear?

Stock shocks will be fine, spindles don't effect those.

Stock springs will be fine, you have a 2" spacer, only reason you'd need lift springs is if you want to replace that.

Brake lines are dependent on truck. Majority like 99% don't need them, but every once in a while there's that rare truck that does.

You only need aftermarket control arms if you go over 2" of lift with either spacers or lift coils. Spindles don't effect the geometry.

As for the block, I'd do the 4". I have 6.5" of lift up front and a 4" block in the rear and it sits just about level.

You will need longer shocks for the rear, ones made for the amount of lift you go with. Rear shocks are the same between the 4x4's and 4x2's on the 97-03's so if you can't find them for a 2wd just look for ones for 4wd.

At 5.5" total lift you'll be able to fit a 33x12.50 or a narrow 34ish tire. If you want 35x12.50's you'll need to go to a minimum of 6-6.5" of lift. All dependent on the wheel choice of course.

Sweet, thanks for the info. Not sure on what tire size I want to go with, just trying to get it looking better/taller.
