HELP! Im in battery cable HELL!

I need to replace the positive battery cable on my 97 F150 4X4, 4.6. Its a pre august model. It was actually built on the last day of July. Believe it or not Ford changed the positive battery cable half way thru the production year! The one I need is now discontinued and I cant fine one anywhere. Believe me I have spent hours looking. Many online parts stores have them on their sites but when you click to purchase you get a message "discontinued"! Its a Motorcraft F65Z 14300CB. Has anybody else had to replace one of these? Is there another cable that will work? Thanks.

Or you could just buy some welding cable and put your own terminals on it..

Replace it with welding cable for 20 bucks max and you will have a better setup. Or even better, do the big 3 and be done with it.

I use 1 gauge welding cable for all my heavy duty wiring.

If you cannot find welding cable buy a set of booster cables and make one out of that.
