I purchased this 2000 F150 XL AUTO 2wd LWB bout 1 year ago from a guy in Shreveport Louisiana for 700$. Yea seven hundred bucks. It was a work truck not being used by the company no longer and he was wantiń out of the way. I rode Chevrolet till I made my first ford purchase. It had 170,000 miles on it when I got it. No window tint and a huge 3 story rack all the way down the bed plus a headache. It was a novelty company I purchased it from. The rack was to keep the gaming devices pool tables ect. From falling out. It also had a
Tommie gate that was taken off before I picked it up. Iv now put a 10 in sub with a custom box behind the seat a newer ford stock radio in the dash ( CD and AUX ) custom door speakers. Chrome toolbox. 5% tint all the way round. Oversized eyebrow rain guards bug shield. FLOWMASTER exhaust with 3in chrome tip out the rear. Neoprene floor mats. I wish iv had taken some before pics to show progress. Low maintence daily driver for me coming up on 200k with maintence done every 3000. I plan on selling it for around 2500$ after my future mods are completed. Plan on getting another older model F150 and start another project. Iv really enjoyed fords this last year. Future mods. Custom head tail and cab lights. Rhino lined bed. New side mirrors. Billet grill. Newer stock rims. Level front end. Minor engine work and cosmetic work on pass side body. Well that's my ford hope y'all enjoy. I'm having trouble posting pics in the forum thread but I got an album set up with 3 pics in my garage if u want to see.

 

Nice lookin truck. Especially for what you paid for it and the 200k on the clock. Word of advice though. I wouldnt get too carried away with the cosmetics of it if you plan to just sell it in the near future. Other than like nessicary body or paint work. I only say this because adding new tails, heads, corners or mirrors and chrome whatever may make it more appealing to some people but at the same time make it less appealing to others. You will most likely not get much of the money you put into it. Some people like bone stock looking trucks or prefer them so that they can do their own thing to it. The money you spend on new heads, tails and corners you might end up not getting back and they might end up just yankin them out and putting something else in them. Although if you plan on fixin er up and keeping it for a while then selling well do what ya wanna do. I just would hate to see ya drop a bunch of money on it then have a hard time selling, or even worse lose money on the deal. lol I cant help but point this out but..... I appreciate the review and compliments tomzilla. The heads and tails were just a maybe thing but I have a buyer who's a friend and got a estimate of everything and I would be coming out even or losing just a few bucks. But he's a long time friend so I'm not too worried bout getting negative. I'm ready to start on another one. And yea I seen the typo in the edit lol.

 

As far as the body work goes .... I don't know if you can see it in those pics iv got but there's two 6in gashes/scratch in the bed side. There ugly and full of rust. It's a quick and easy fix and the only thing wrong with the whole body.

 

Cool deal bro. I know what ya mean about a new project. Once you get one where ya want it its time for a new one lol.

 

Yea there fun trucks to work on. Il be lookin for a same year model or maybe a couple older maybe ext cab and 4wd. Keep ur eyes peeled
