Project "Darkness" - Flareside #4
Project "Darkness" - Flareside #4
My last truck I attempted to revive/build ended up with pretty major internal motor issues, so I managed to sell it and came across this beauty as my next project.
Meet the next one...Project "Darkness", 00 XLT S/C 4x4, 4.6L, loaded, 300k kms
It's my 4th flareside I've owned, but the first super cab. Needed the extra room for gear and passengers.
Body is in excellent shape for the mileage, and the 4.6 runs flawlessly. Few minor bumps and bruises for being a former contractors work truck.
Here's what I'm starting with.

First mod...installed Sirius/XM head unit. Love my satellite radio.
Very nice lookin truck to start out with. Just curious but whats the frame and radiator support look like? I know living in Pennsylvania we see a lot of frame rust do to salt from the snow. Im sure you see more snow than I do. Truck looks good, cant wait to see where this is headed.
