TrickFlow top end kit??

So ive been looking at the trick flow top end kit/heads (TFS-K520-390-375 in particular). I haven't really seen anyone talk about aftermarket heads for truck modular motors before, but they look to have some pretty nice gains on mustangs. Ive been reading a lot of mustang information, but I was wanting some truck 5.4 feedback (if there is any!). So is there anyone out there running this kit/heads on a N/A F150?

Whats the power gains? (summit says 390hp on a higher compression 4.6)

Will my bottom end be okay with the compression increase of the 38cc chambers? (should bump it just above 10-1) Im fine with running premium fuel

I had more questions, but I cant remember right now! Feel free to jump in the conversation.

Thanks,
David

I don't know about the kits they offer for mod motors, but I installed the Track Heat kit on the stock '86 pushrod 5.0 in my Capri and all I can say is what a difference it made. I'm sure it would be a definite improvement for a mod motor also... I say go for it and let us know how it turns out.

They don't offer an intake manifold for the 5.4

The heads and cams will reduce your low end power making the truck less streetable

He can use the Edelbrock intake w/ edlebrock fuel rails along with the 5.4/4.6 intake adapter plates.

I'll swear by that intake on the 4.6. I can't imagine it's much different on the 5.4.

the TF heads and "good" (CMS) stage 2 cams are worth sold 75rw over baseline. (Stalled Auto trans play havoc with dynos.)

Ive not seen good things about adapters in the 5.4. I was just going to run the stock intake manifold, seems to be the best choice for a flat torque curve. but anything over 50rwhp/torque with not a huge loss in low end would make it worth it to me.

peak power has nothing to do with power under the curve
