Crankcase Ventilation Hose 2001 F150 4.6L
Crankcase Ventilation Hose 2001 F150 4.6L
My crankcase Vent hose either melted a few inches downstream from the PCV valve or the local squirrels chewed a hole in the the line - either or I have a huge sucking leak and P0171 and P0174 codes since then.
Question is 2 fold
1. How to I remove the Crankcase Vent Hose from the back of the engine easily?
Do I have to remove the Throttle body to do it? Does it just pry out or is it screwed in?
2. The replacement tube, if I get the Ford replacement is it F6ZZ6C324A? - Crankcase Vent Hose And Connector. 4.6 Single Over Head Cam EFI GT. Or can I use regular old vacumn hose from an autopart place and a new PCV valve.
Right now the trusty Duct Tape is getting me down the road but I don't want to leave that for very long.
Thank you all so much in advance.

Thank you, don't want to pry on it till I get the new piece. Thanks again.
Just a note for anyone else - the part # listed above was not the part# from Ford.
The Crankshaft Vent Hose and connectors for a 2001 F150 4.6L Supercrew Lariat is: XL3Z-6C324-HA
About 36$ (some places online cheaper but still had to ship it.)

The last letters are revision order, - first four are where it came from, ie, who made it and where.
It's just that the first set of letters/numbers are the original part @ production date.
Hope that didn't confuse lol. MANY revisions with that part because of the number of variants throughout the years. Parts #'s rarely remain the same and yes, you did get the correct revision.
Why does this post seem worthless now? I don't know, but there it is.
