Resale Value - Black wheels vs Stock
Resale Value - Black wheels vs Stock
Well, the time has finally come that I have to sell my beloved 02 Scab. I'm wondering if you guys know if black wheels negatively affect resale value...specifically that I Plasti-dipped mine, and the stock wheels underneath that Plasti-dip are badly scratched and rusted.
So should I keep the Plasti-dip on it to try and sell it, or take it off and show the stock wheels?

It depends on how bad the wheels look underneath. But an appraiser at a dealership will assume that plasti-dipped wheels are a cheap high schooler fix. Are you selling it to a dealership or a third party? But on an '02, it won't matter much either way. How many miles are on the truck and what kind of shape is the rest of the truck in? If the rest of the truck were mint, it would be a bigger deal
They don't look good, that's for sure. Hence the plasti-dip. But the rest of the truck is not mint either. So no go on the plasti-dip. Got it. Do you think I should try to paint them a silver to give them a cleaner look, or just leave them as they are?
