I run a 5Star custom tune on my SCT, and I can highly recommend them. With the SCT tuner, you can use tunes from many custom tuners, as it seems a popular unit. You should have your tune adjusted for the most benefit out of your header package, including a delete of the rear cats,in the software, eliminating the need for 02 extensions. I run the OBX longtubes, without cats, to a Maggie X-Pipe, to Borla 12" XR-1's and straight out the back, with Maggie 4" tips.

you're right about the cable. i had forgotten all about it. that was years ago but yea it left me dead in the water for about a week. but in the end the customer service at PHP was incredible. didn't know they had stopped doing the gryphon for our year tho

 

Ya they won't sell it because of the problems with the cable..they stopped selling cs and cts because they can't compromise with edge. Yes they do have great customer service. A little slow on the phones but once you get ahold of them they are great..

 

5 star looks like a good second choice. Not the in dash option I was hoping for but o well no biggie. I still need to order all my parts. Iv been slacking on it this week. My buddy hit me up on tuesday asking if I wanted to buy his jet boat for super cheap ( he was wanting a new toy but wanted the boat to still be in the family) so needless to say I own my first boat at barely 23. 490 ford big block 20ft... I'm excited lol.

What year is your truck? Just cut the CATs off completely and get long-tube headers. No more worries about them being plugged up. . . . Maybe you are in CA...IDK?
