You're right! It's a mess here and cold! But yes I got it done before the storm hit. It'll be a few days before I drive it again. Stocked up at the store before the storm. I'm in for the duration. Lol

And @TOYZ, Holy Moly is absolutely right! Dirty filter weighs about 3 x's what the new one weighs. It's rusty and full of black crap.

We lucked out down here - we only got about 2 inches of heavy wet stuff, but it's warm enough that it didn't stick to the streets. It's supposed to ice up a bit tonight though.

Ok....I give up. Talk to me about fuel pumps. I'm gonna replace the whole assembly. I'll buy the parts myself so I know whats going on my truck. Need to know best place to buy quality without costing me an arm and leg. Best brand? Drop the tank? Take the bed off? Everyone keeps trying to sell me a $400 fuel pump w/limited lifetime. Really though, how much lifetime is left on a 13 year old truck? Found DELPHI FUEL PUMP AND SENDER ASSEMBLY at O'Rielly's for $227. Good? Bad?

Airtex complete fuel pump assembly at rockauto.com is a clever design and it's around $150 shipped with warranty. There are also kits to rebuild for less
