AC Bypass Option

97 F150 4.6L
Just finished bypassing AC, replaced smooth idler pulley with grooved (Gates 38052 equivalent), shortened the belt to the non-AC length of 79.7” and rerouted over idler pulley. A bit tight but all clear. Another site noted the Gates 38053, smaller diameter was used, and another used a slightly longer belt 81 1/8”. Removed AC pulley (bearings failed) and coil, will replace if it ever gets hot enough.

I only bypassed AC pully (removed, but compressor still in place) by replacing the idler pulley and routing new belt over top instead of under, all other belt routing is the same. Not sure what you mean by stock pully fan. Don't anticipate issues running hot, will know more with time.
