Stock Ride Height 4wd
Stock Ride Height 4wd
2000 F150 extended cab 4wd.
My F150 with only 73,000 miles has started showing some negative camber (calibrated eyeballs) and possibly some toe out (tires sharply worn on inside edges). Before I check alignment I'd like to know how much the suspension has sagged over 13 years, as that tends to affect camber on most vehicles. It seems that alignment shops never check ride height.
I have searched on the web and this site, but I'm not sure I've got the right numbers.
Here's what I've found.
Front:
3.65-5.15" (93-131mm)
Measured by subtracting A - B where A is control arm front bolt to ground and B is steering nuckle to ground.
Rear:
5.9-8.1" (150-206mm)
Measured from bottom of frame to the lower part of the bumper stop bolt.
That's a 1.5" range on the front and 2.2" range on the rear. It seems like a big range to me. Please let me know if the height range is correct and if I'm measuring correctly for my vehicle.

While the sagging effects it, if you haven't gotten an alignment in 73k miles, it most likely is past due for one. And they don't need to check the ride height to set it within spec for camber and toe.
True, unless the camber is far enough off that it isn't within the adjustment range, indicating worn ball joints and/or sagging suspension. However, I would still like to know if these are the correct ride height measurements.
Hi tbzep, I am trying to find the same for my 98 and the closest I've come is your post here. Usually my net search is better but not on this it seems. Do you have a link to the site where you found yours, if that included other years and models. Thanks.
I'm sorry, but I don't have a link. I found the info a while back and wrote it down, but I haven't had any luck finding anything recently.
