Brake Questions
Brake Questions
I've got a '99 F150 with some badly corroded brake lines I'd like to replace. However, there are two lines that run from the master cylinder to the ABS control module, and I haven't been able to find replacements for them. They are part flexible hose and part metal line, and appear to be one piece assemblies. Does anyone know where you can get them? Or what is the purpose of them being part flexible and part steel? I'm wondering if you could replace them with flexible hose. Or if not, why not.
Also, it sounds like the ABS module is tricky to bleed. Is this something that you absolutely have to have done at a brake shop or dealership, or is there a way you can do it yourself? Thanks in advance for your help. I appreciate it.
