O2 sensors

I am going to be replacing my O2 sensors. And have some questions. I will be replacing them for maintenance purposes. There is just over 120k on the stock ones. Is it necessary to replace the downstreams? And which brand is the way to go Bosch or Motorcraft?

Usually Motorcrafts are Bosch.
Sometimes NTK.
Aftermarket Bosch should be the same without the Ford part number and with the same connectors.
If you were to look at them operating live with a Scanner and not see a problem or acting 'lazy', there ok to leave in place.
Usually the down streams are never changed unless there is a code set specifically telling they are in trouble such as an open heater etc.
Good luck.

Make sure you get Motorcraft sensors and you should only need to change the up stream(Front). The fronts are the "working" sensors and the rear only tells the computer if you have cats or not. So i would only replace the front ones.

I just did my upstream sensors on my 4.2 in December. Had 310,000 km on them. Used Bosch aftermarket sensors from Napa. I had a challenging time removing the drivers side sensor as it is difficult to get at. Ended up cutting the body of the sensor off then using a 22mm 6-point socket on the sensor nut. When I tried using a sensor socket or a 12-point, they just rounded off the nut. Helped to warm the truck up to 190 then smack the nut before using a breaker bar. I went through the wheel well for better access and more leverage.

I am sorry, I honestly am. I am trying to become a better poster.

How does it feel?

Thanks for the tips. Mine will be easy to get at since my fenders are empty from my lift. But how are the bosch's working out for you? did you notice any mpg increase? Smoother idle etc?

Im sorry i didn't know this was a spelling B. I will take my time and proof read my posts from now on. You need to reflect on the way you have been acting recently. It needs to stop. Your being ridiculous.
