Bed Liner On Chrome Bumpers [Pics]
I think they look better with the black bed liner... but I've also painted over chrome in the past with varying results. Each attempt looked great when I was done, but time will tell if you roughed up the chrome enough. If not, It'll all be peeling off before you know it.

COOP3R! Whats going on with finishing the bumper? I want to see what the front of the truck looks like when its done. I did some bedlinin' this morning on my bottom rockers. Also are you putting the lower valance back on? looks cool withouht it. Honestly, the colour is growing on me with the more black I put on my truck. I bedlined my back rack also.
Sorry guys had some unusually cold and windy weather here in central florida lately...Lows of about 50..
Not the best conditions to be spraying bed liner around.
Good news is its cleared up and i have a couple days off of work coming up on tuesday and wednesday. Stay posted

That is a great look! Thanks for sharing but now I'm wanting to do it too
And the rockers, I'm really not liking the two tone silver rockers under the red (the bright red whatever that is called). And then I have to do all the faded (or was it originally a dull grey?) plastic trims bits. Of course first I need to do a little body work. I'm tired already. Your brilliant "little" cosmetic work is gonna cost me when I get the time!
I have some concerns on adhesion and expansion issues though, especially in my climate. You think you were chilly last week at +50 down there in usually sunny warm Florida dcoop3r
We had a crack at -50 a few weeks ago up here. Try and wrap your head around that
And summer swings to the other extreme under the bare prairie sun!
Pardon the thread theft dcoop3r, but I see you're in Oshawa there ratherBstroked, have you done any other bedliner paint and how is it holding up to our Canadian winters? Any special prep work? An etch and primer sound like the way to go on chrome. I'd rather put a little more time and money up front and not have to keep touching it up or redoing it. Feel free to PM me if you prefer to not clutter up dcoop3r's thread.

far-trader, I have done my rockers, back rack, grille and bumper pad in rustoleum bedliner. Seems to hold up BUT is hard to clean and keep clean. Streaks like no other haha. Definately need to clear coat it. No need for an acid etch for my applications. I sanded with 100 grit on my orbital sander then 400 by hand then used a self etching primer after cleaning the surface with a de-greaser. I am scared to do my bumpers as I use my truck in the mud and hit lots of dirt and gravel roads. Powder coat would be the absolute best but can be expensive. Its very easy to touch up the bedliner though. It hates the salt, man it looks like complete *** on those wet days with the salt on the road. I find chrome hard to prep myself. If you could find a proper etching product like and acid bath then that would be great. No worries with the weather man. I did mine in my driveway in plus 8 weather.
BTW coop3r, definately looks killer!
