Camshaft Bearing Cap Question

Hi all. Does anyone know where to buy a camshaft bearing cap for a 4.6L V8? My one cap on the passenger side camshaft has a crack. I've looked at some autoparts places' website and don't see these for sale. I figure someone here must know a good source for these. Thanks in advance.
Andrew

Does anybody know about this? I'm really stuck here. Is it possible to replace just the camshaft bearing cap, or do you have to replace the entire cylinder head? It looks like the bearing caps used to be offered for sale but aren't any longer. Or at least i haven't been able to find them. Are they something you can reuse from a defunct engine?

I believe they are discontinued. Dealer or scrap yard might help. Maybe a head porting shop might have some lying around.

If there like a 3v then your gonna need a new head. Av heard of machining and fitting bearings but am sure a new / used head will run 1/3 of the price.

Thanks guys.

I was looking at it more closely and think it might be ok if I just leave it alone; the crack is in a bit of the webbing between the bearings; I don't know that it's going to affect anything.

Scrap yards in OHIO have used heads starting @ $75.00. Worst case get one and use the cap.

Well. The good news---the truck runs. The bad news---it still makes the same noise it did before. I had suspected it was a lifter toward the front of the passenger side valve train, so I replaced the first three. In the process of doing so, I cracked the webbing of the bearing cap, because I didn't notice that my ratchet head was pushing against it as I compressed the valve spring. I was using that tool they sell to compress springs in these particular engines, so I wasn't expecting to have a problem like that. I wound up making a breaker bar to use with the tool, because my ratchet would not do it without colliding with the bearing cap--there's nothing special about my ratchet, either; just a regular old Craftsman 3/8" drive ratchet. I don't think the crack has made any difference in how the truck runs, though. I think that noise I was trying to get rid of must be the timing chain. I could hear with a stethoscope that it for sure is coming from the front of the valve cover somewhere. And it's not the lifters. The rocker arms looked fine. I want to fix whatever it is before it actually fails and causes bigger problems.
