Possible build

So my wife gave me permission to finally spend some cash on makin my truck better. I have my list of parts and just want to know if you guys think i should pull the trigger or if i should change anything.

Shopping Cart: FlowMaster American thunder cat-back, K&N 77 series intake, SCT SF3 power flash programmer, Bushwacker pocket style fender flares.

Im looking for a few other things that would really help me out to, that would be new ring and pinion gear sets. Not sure if i want to step up to something like a 4.11 or down to maybe a 3.54. How much will each effect the MPG? Obviously i know there is a major difference in torque. I'm upgrading to 18in wheels. I should also note that i have a 3k limit(tax return lol). SO any other ideas would be much appreciated. One last thing, what are you guys doing for suspension mods? I would love to have the truck sit a little lower but have more travel, kind of like an offroad race truck.

If you want Flowmasters, just buy the mufflers and have a shop do the piping and then choose whatever tips you want. Will be cheaper that way with same results.

Don't get the intake, just search for the Gotts mod and do that and add a K&N filter if you'd like.

And the programmer sounds good. That and the Edge are two popular ones for these trucks.

If you want more travel your not going to get it by going lower, only way to gain it is by going up and travel would really push your budget.

I saw on Extreme 4x4 the whole half priced raptor build, I obviously dont want to drop the cash for that whole type of setup(not to mention the work involved). I just wasn't sure if there were any other type of suspension options. Would adding in high flow cats be worth the money? any real power gain to be had there?

No real gain in power. Just a louder and deeper exhaust note

What about different gear ratios? What would be a good combo for every day/highway use and occasional offroad use?

I think something around a 4.10 would be a good compromise for all of your needs.

Yeah im 4X4, already have 33's on it. Haven't looked into cams or headers yet. So I havent factored those in yet. I know there's plenty of power to be made with cams, but how much power is to be had with headers on the 5.4?
