my truck is a flaming hot pile of trash and i want to light it on fire!

Hey guys! Im just so sick of this damn thing and think i honestly have had enough. It never runs right and im sick of working on it everyday. Most of you on this part of the site know how much work ive put in to it and im just ready to move on..My question is what do you think a Lifted 2wd 10 yr old truck is actually worth. Even though I know Every single part of this truck is new do you think i can get 10k for it or am i being crazy? Thanks in advance guys! Be honest my feelings won't be hurt i just want to know what to list it for (oh and its only got 77k miles on the odometer)

When I look at used vehicles the more they have been modded the less there worth to me. I'm a big fan of unmolested..

Just so you know banks only use nada. I'm getting shafted on my Mach for that very reason. Kbb says 13.6 for it nada's like 11.3. Some guy called me the other day and said his bank would only approve the loan for 11.1 told him I couldn't go that low. Best bet is sell your parts off of it and sell it stock. Unless somebody rolls thru with $100s in which case you're golden!

yea as im getting a little older now Im starting to find the modding of my vehicles less of my thing. I just want somthing clean pretty much stock and reliable. I guess i wouldnt get so frusterated if i had more mechanical know how. Think thats what i might do and just part it out little by little.

just cant get rid of an idle problem worked on it all last night and ran perfect got in this morning and started again. Had a similar problem with the other engine and the first day i got it back. Somthing is hooked up wrong and or its a stupid problem just cant figure it out..... I need to more or less bring it in to the dealer ive had it in the local shop here about once per week since ive been driving it daily and just cant get all the bugs worked out.

Honestly, good luck to you! I've got a 99 5.4 with 114k on the clock. It's a 4x4, and mostly stock in good condition. I'm having one heck of a time selling it, and I'm trying to sell it for just over what I paid for it since I added a couple things. Good luck, and I hope you can get what you want for it, but people want something for nothing...

Just keep it, you won't get what you've got in the engine, lift and truck value

What idling issues are you having? High idle, wont idle, etc??? There are a few things on the truck that affect idle. Tell me whats wrong and i can try and help you!

What mods are on the motor?

here that truck would be 10k if it was a 4x4. Just the fact of only having 77k and rust free. id post it at 10k and see what you can get.

Take off some of the mods and try to sell them. You might just find some people here on the forum that are interested ;-)

Same here in Missouri. If its full size, 4x4, and V8 they automatically list it at $10k minimum at the used car lots no matter the year or mileage. As long as its running smooth. When I moved out here I thought no way people are paying that, until a friend sold his 99 S-10 4 cyl 2wd child-size cab for almost $6k cash. It had a little custom to it, but mostly cosmetic and put on there when it was new.

One school of thought is go back as close to stock as possible and sell or keep the upgrade parts to appeal to more buyers. The other is to keep it custom and sell to younger guy that may over pay to have something different.
