Engine almost dies

I have a 2000 F150 with a 4.6. When coming to a stop from hywy speeds right before stop RPMs drop to 300 but then catches back up. What could be causing this problem?

From: Easton, Pa.

The Intake Air Controller is sticking and not able to control idle speed.
Remove it for cleaning and do the throttle body inside.

Can I use WD 40 or carb cleaner?
