i was told that i could put a 03 expedition front clip on my 2000 f150 that the parts would bolt up anybody ever hear of this and i wonder if that would be true for a 97-98 ?????

 

It all bolts up for 97-03 f150s but iirc you the hood supports from the expy too because the expy hood weighs more.

 

Are you talking about the whole front clip, or just the plastic valance?

 

The entire front clip. Also 07+ expy and all navis.

 

it will bolt up..you'll have to do some shimming on the fenders in the front to make them line up and you'll have to weld the expo bumper mounts onto the frame..you'll also have to change out the header panel..i finally have all the components to finish mine up..here is a picture i took of it after putting everything together minus the hood..

 

This is not true. The F150 hood is steel and the Expy hood is aluminum. The Expy hood is a lot lighter.

 

Are you talking about the cowl covers? If so I used the original by trimming off the tabs. Do the mount holes line up with the Epxy covers? The F150 squirters are mounted on the hood where as the Expy's are mounted in the covers. I didn't grab those from my donor vehicle. Also, remember to get all the wiring plugs from the donor as well. You will have to splice these into yours for it to work.

no i'm meaning the header panel that bolts to the radiator support. (piece that the headlights bolt to) Not sure about the expo wiper cowl fitting the f150. i'm using the street scene smooth wiper cowl on mine.
