Finally swaped my front end 99+ pics

So i finally did it i swaped my 1997 front end out for a 2000 f150 front end..it went pretty smooth came across the front end when my friends shop was parting one out bought the whole front end for 180 included the bumper, grill mask, headerpanel, grill and all hardware and screws. anyway my old bumper was all rusted out and needed a change i figure hey might as well swap the whole thing. it fit well except for some minor problems, the only problem that i have now is that their is a gap between the mask and hood, is there a fix for this? i painted it with orilleys paint to match paint. my truck is red so i used the color called cardinal red..i also changed all rusted out nuts and bolts on the 2000 bumper and undercoated it to prevent any rust in the future. i got headlights off ebay and they look good now but they are already foging up and they dont fit to well. anyway heres some pics and enjoy thnx guys who helped out,.

Looks good. However, the only part I like about the 2000+ front ends is the lower section. Did you cut that off or remove it, hard to tell ? I seen one painted up once on a oxford white 4x4 and it looked really good. I would go for something like that, otherwise I'd stay with the 97/98 setup.

is the grill surround after market? Can you post up a picture of it behind where it wraps around the corner light?

were there any adjustments or slotted holes when you bolted the header panel onto the core support?

It almost looks like his hood can come down a hair more and the surround up just a hair to close the gap. If I remember, there were no adjustments on the surround but at one point I drilled mine out on my last truck to get a little adjustment.

Yea, try and adjust the hood down a bit, maybe your bumpers are too high. The last pic seems the most telling
