no hornn no cruise no compass

My horn cruise and compass are all out I have checked the fuses and they are fine any suggestions what to check next. I feel it could be the clock thing in the steering wheel.

U are correct. Check the OBD for a code. Also suspect the GEM.

Papa, respectfully, I have been watching your replies to other threads and i'm sorry to call you on such replies but you should not say things unless you are knowledgeable about how the systems are organized for Ford.
.
The horn is a fused relay supply through the steering wheel clock spring.
The Cruise control is a 'stand alone' system also seperatly controlled through the clock spring.
The temp and compass is a seperate piece of hardware.
The PCM and ODB diagnostics or the GEM have no access to these systems.
The PCM only has access to engine 'related' systems.
There will be no code for any outside systems not related to the PCM
The only outside systems it monitors are the transmission shift control and related function and the fuel tank system.
The PCM and GEM are totally seperate and have no signalling between them.

It's hard enough to handle seperate systems let alone many interconnected to each other.
.................................................. .................................................. ...
For cruise control testing:
Hold the steering wheel OFF switch pressed then switch on the igntion to the RUN position only.
Watch the CEL lamp for a flash.
Then immediately operate the 'ON' switch, the Resume switch, Set switch and Release switches in that order.
Watch the lamp for a flash code.
That code will translate to the general failure in service information.
.
For example, I had a failure and the test result said the master cylinder pressure switch was open. Sure enough it was and leaking fluid as well.
There is a recall on this for fire hazzard. I had mine done but the switch was not leaking several years ago when it was done.
.
On the temp indicator, if an overhead console, it may have a trouble on it's circuit board.
You would have to remove the bezel to get at the circuit board.
On the board are two parts that normally run very hot in a closed space and make the solder connection come loose. Just re-solder them with a pencel iron and Resin core solder.
.
For the Horn, it may be the clock spring for both the Cruise and Horn.
If the Cruise test implicates the clock spring it may also affect the Horn seperately on the same ribbon assembly if the ribbon is broken.

Good luck.

OP asked if the horn problem might be the clockspring. Follow this thread to picture of the wire diagram for the horn and clockspring. If you read the diagram the clock spring and switches complete the circuit to ground and energize the horn relay.

With this picture U can see the power control module and navigation module are on this/the same circuit that is shown in the diagram. Both data link thus a code would help. In this case it may be an invalid/missing code ( U ) code.

Please excuse my haste before. Time was short and I deamed the horn to be your problem 1st to solve. Mentioned the Gem as it does 3 relays, ACC, one touch, for windows and Power Saver Relay. Don't know why, just did. Have had the brake light signal affected by turn signal switch thus affecting the cruise before.
