Charge light came on today
I just bought my 99 two weeks ago and the charge light came on today. For me a charge light has always been the alternator, it was again this time too. The good thing is the new alternator also made my ABS light go out. I had read that somewhere on this forum, so if your ABS light comes on steady you may want to test your alternator. The hole job took an hour, not too hard

AH.............the PCM has nothing to do with ABS.
ABS is a self contained system seperate from engine control.
You would never see ABS codes from the PCM in these trucks 97 to 03.
When power was removed it was also removed from the ABS system as well.
