Whats a good price for a 03 Harley F150
I wonder what they gave the guy who traded it in? 11/5, maybe 12.. I'm sure they have more room. When it comes down to it, you may have to say, -this is what its going to take and be firm. Say it in a very serious way, know what I mean lol.
Well i left over $500.00 They bumped my trade in to 14,000 dropped the Harley to 14,500. The salesman was getting pretty rude and made the comment so your about to leave this truck over a measly 500.00. I said well that can go the other way also, your about to lose a sale over 500.00. There wasnt much else said. I told him if they decide to do it great if not i will go some where else.. So it will be interesting if i get a call tomorrow or not. Either way im fine with it.

They will try VERY hard to make as much as they possibly can from just one sale. Most of them anyway. So it can be a small battle to get treated fairly.
Yea. I really like the truck a lot and as far as all the service records are available. This car lot that has the truck is owned by the ford dealership but its one of these places that will finance almost anyone to get your credit back on track.. That's probably the reason why the price is so high and there not wanting to go down to much. Some person is going to walk in there put a few thousand down finance the rest and they will probably end up paying around 18500 to 19000 for the truck.
The truck was actually bought at the ford dealership and has every service record available on it. It has had only 2 sets of tires on it in the 122,000 miles and they just replaced the 2nd set. So that tells me also the truck was babied if they got 60k plus out of the goodyear tires.
So im just going to wait and see. The reason I sold the Kr is the mileage was getting up to around 150k and the way I drive I will put a lot of miles on this one.. So im just trying to figure out what the best is to do

Your going to pay for one either way. Might as well make it the one you want. That mileage wouldn't be a factor if it were me and IF it was taken care of. But I've proven to myself how long they'll run with good maintenance. Well, not exactly, since its still going strong.
Definitely don't over pay as it'll never wash, but you know all that. There's going to be a next time and there's always deals out there, so....
Good luck with getting those numbers right.
Nice truck but the mileage was kinda high & you stuck to your guns on price! Good for you! .........In the other side, Ford is not making any more Harley F-150's after the
2012's I truly feel I own a collectors item someday, I have a 2008 HD mint F-150 Screw with 39K miles. It's not my daily driver just for that reason. Good luck on your search!

Got a call at 8 this morning from the sales manager saying they are sticking to their price cause the just out brand new tires on it, if they went down another 500 they would be losing money. My reply was well my truck has brand new tires also that was almost 1,000 dollars and yal didn't want to add the extra for my truck. So I got hung up on. Lol
That's to bad. At this point and IF you decide to agree with that price, I would definitely use a different salesmen. Since the one working with you is that childish. Lets face it, -an *** for sure. I mean common, hinging the sale upon tire condition is just a poor ploy in manipulation. Although, you did answer that adequately.
This guy isn't straight up IMO. His display or actions after you presented a very valid point defines his character, = FAIL. Yea, to bad.
If you want the truck, I definitely wouldn't think twice about talking with another sales person within that establishment. I might even look at their web site and attempt to find an honest face, before I call lol.

I sold my 07 Harley loaded with everything but power folding mirrors a month ago for $19k with 83k miles. My truck looked better than it did from the factory. I wouldn't even put thought into an 03 for 16.. ( just to add, I put $1100 worth of tires 2 weeks prior to selling. Didn't get a penny towards that.)

Yea, if it ends back up on the lot i wouldnt touch it.. Probaly will get the hell ran out of it for a few months then get repoed. If it wasnt a one owner with all service records i wouldnt have even looked at it.

15k for a 10 year old truck...
I get that they are a bit rare these days.. but man, Id have a hard time paying that. Seems like 12 would be a more fair price.
Think about this, if you have it for 2-5 years.. what is the value of it then, 6-7k? Once it sees 150-200k miles it will drastically drop the value.
I'll bet this, being they originally stickered it at 16k, they didnt pay more than 10 for it. Depends on how bad they want to sell it will determine how much they come down on it. A truck like that, I doubt it will be much. Also, their trade offer seems low. Youll have to find the medium where everyone is happy. Stick to a number you know is fair for your trade it and don't budge from it. Remember it is a trade in though, it does not have private value.
Like brew said, if the deal is close enough... and you walk out, they will call you. It has worked almost every time for me. Most recently on our purchase of the edge. And this was at a large (herzog) dealer, not a desperate small dealership. At the end of the deal we got new black carpet installed and new tires, with a trade in value higher than expected and new car price we were happy with.
The big thing I think that got us that deal was I brought my laptop in and while talking to the salesman, brought up other dealer comparable prices within 200 miles (what I was willing to drive) and showed him a few we were going to leave there to go look at (that were priced lower with same miles). You can't argue with that. We didnt make it a mile down the road and my phone went off. With a great trade in offer, lower price on the edge and the offer of new tires and carpet for free (we didnt like the beige carpet).
Guess I'm a little late.... didnt see there was 2 pages.
Better luck next time.
