a little before and after

I just put a ton of time into my truck to make it better suited for what I need, started off looking like this, 3" body lift, fabtech 'long travel', prerunner bedsides, tubed bumpers and,no tailgate which was the worst part.

Took the body lift off and put stock bumpers, bed and tailgate
with a ton of help and time from my brother, ( I'm out with a broken left thumb and fractured right wrist) we got the truck looking like this. The best part about doing all of this is the truck drives absolutely amazing now.

I just thought I'd share my progress, and now I wish I took more pictures today.
Now I just need to make the exhaust quiet since the previous owner cut the exhaust right after the muffler.
Hopefully I will have more mods in the near future to post up.
And thanks to this site for helping me figure out everything I needed.

It looks really good, it looked pretty sweet with the tube bumpers too what made you change it?

4X4wolf thanks. The reason I Did it was work purposes. The guy i bought the truck from destroyed my old bed so I could not get a tailgate to work. And I didn't like the body lift for a few reasons, and without the body lift the old bumpers wouldn't fit, so stock bumpers were the best option. I do have to say I miss the old look a little bit, but the truck drives and is easier for work and fun.

Ain't nothing wrong with making a truck serve its purpose as a truck.

As long as you like it, but I just want to say that you didn't change anything that would make the truck drive better. That's all in your head.

Str8t six. I thought the same thing, but the steering now has no "slop". I used to have a ton of slop in my steering wheel so bad that I couldn't keep the truck in one lane. That's the only difference I feel and it's pretty amazing to drive now.

The truck sits better on the wheels and tires without the body lift. Looks more how a prerunner type truck should. As Str8t said, your steering extension probably wasn't tightened properly. You should look into a way to fab new mounts for that front bumper, it looks sweet!

Yeah I really like the low stance it has right now, I can't believe the tires don't rub on anything either. Lol. It had to be the extension or something because it drives like a new truck now. I have a buddy who can Fab me up some bumpers... you guys have me thinking I should do it!

Looks great! Bad ***. I might wanna fix that little twist with the front clip. Not sure what's going on there. Looks like the tube bumper is straight, but the clip is off some? Maybe its not sitting on the mounts correctly or perhaps you could shim it up a bit so that the tube bumper/clip are in proportion.

That's if you want it perfect. Definitely like that baha runner look.

It's funny you say that jbrew, after the body lift came off the little "twist" is gone... I think anyways Haha. Plus the tube bumper was a bolt on and I'm not sure if the previous owner drilled the holes for the tube bumper in the right spot.

Dang you're all making me miss the prerunner bumper now! Thanks for all the comments as well, I love the feedback!

Are you thinking about putting the fiberglass rear fenders back on?

Thanks fordguy24!
Unfortunately I traded my old bed straight up with the tube bumper and fenders for the current stock bed with a tailgate. I was thinking of getting some more fiberglass bedsides later on, but with a smaller bulge. Not sure yet though.
