Strange Noise

Im getting a strange honking noise from my truck on the driverside coming from the engine compartment. Im kinda thinking it is air being sucked in.It only happens around 1000 to 1500 rpms. possibly the iac valve? any suggestins would be helpful thanks.

Make sure that the CAI is not leaking somewhere....or any other vacuum leaks.

Has the air temp took a definite turn colder lately in TX??

Sometimes the alternator can make funny noise too....might be wise to check the whole serp belt componets, maybe a bearing giving notice.?

yes its gotten noticeably colder here.and when i look at it and it makes the noiseit is coming from the top of the motor for sure. around the filter or the tb. pulled the vac lines off the intake tube and let it run, that seemed to fix it. at least for now so we willl see.
