I think the only way to build something like this would be with frame grafting. Using anything other than a supercab bed for a supercab cab would result in wacky mounts due to frame kick-up.

Easy way would be to take your supercab truck and switch the back frame and bed off the supercrew setup. The frames both are riveted right behind the cab. Blow out the rivets and swap and reweld. Change the drive shaft and the rest should be a direct fit.

Other than the step, the 01-03 Screw bed is just a short version of the Flareside bed. Same taillights, same tailgate.

The only reason I see to contemplate changing the wheelbase/chassis of the original truck would be to install a long travel prerunner suspension.
