Bak Flip instaled- *pics

So when I was deciding on a bed cover for my truck I couldn't find any pics of a Bak Flip on our particular trucks. I hope that by making this thread it will help someone else.

I love the cover- in fairly heavy rain only a few drips have got into the bed. After looking this can be fixed with a small piece of weather striping and some sealant spray.

The cover is dirty in the pics- have had bad weather regularly since I put it on about 2 weeks ago so I haven't been able to give it a good wash.

Also the seal have relaxed a lot since then and now lay down a lot better- I did use a heat gun for about 5 mins.

If anyone has any questions or comments please ask. If you need a pic of a certain part of the cover I can post it for you.

How much space it takes up when folded up:

While I like the look of my cover, I wish I had one of these (or similar) on instead, the functionality of the bed of the truck disappears with a solid cover.

Same here. I love the looks and use of mine, sometimes. I hate taking it off to carry something tall.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I am definitely happy with my decision.

This was the issue I had with the fiberglass cover that I got with the truck. Liked the look but hated anytime I had to load something and try to tie it down. I just need to sell the old one now lol.

Maybe you should look into the Bak Box. its not suitable for everyone (depending on what tools you carry but looks handy). If I ever find one for a good price I will probably pick it up.

Looks and fits nice.

I have a Truxedo and I really like it but its not as secure as the backflip. So far no problems. I have the same issue with the one piece solid covers, they become useless as soon as you are out somewhere and pick something up that's an inch tallied than the bed!!!

I think what I really would like is a cap, so far I have never hauled anything taller than the cab.

I had never considered a truck bed cover, til now. That looks great and functional. This just moved way up the "want" list.

Anyone know if these are made for the Supercrew for the 97-03 model years?
