Winter storage planning!
If it's licensed and insured, there's plenty of dry cold days through the winter to just take it for a drive without salting the undercarriage. IF the vehicle has been in storage for years (as I posted) and has storage insurance on it, you have to devise other ways to keep the internals lubed sufficiently. That way, when the project is finished.....
What's ridicules is your asinine comment. I expect as much from you and/or a few others from this particular forum on the site. You guys more less enjoy playing grab *** with one another vs learning from what you don't understand. I can't help that, but don't bash what you don't understand, as the info is for the ones whom really want to protect and value their possessions/investments.

So mines good. Yours on the other hand... Well lol. Perhaps if you try it again?
I've stored mine for winter since I first bought it. Have never done anything to it. Start it every 2 or 3 weeks to keep the battery charged and will take it for a short drive on nice days at least once during the winter.
I run it for 10 to 15 mins. Make sure it's at full temp before shutting it off.
erm...no. i tried that. still rusts. so its getting garaged.
Look up this stuff called fluid film..it's a type of undercoating but its not permanent. I know you're not going to have the truck in the salt but it could still be worth a look for the rest of the year. My Dad had used it the last couple years, great stuff. Sprays on with a gun and coats the underside. It repels all the road debris/salt etc. You don't rinse out the underneath because it will gradually wear off. Just leave it as it and maybe redo it once or twice per year.
