2000 F 150 XLT 5.4L 4x4

In my quest to find the perfect place to mount a 2 way radio, one of the possibilities I'm considering is getting an overhead console out of an expedition, removing the Rear Air Control mechanism and mounting my radio there. I'm pretty sure my radio is shallow enough to fit there. What I question is whether or not that over head console will switch out easily.

Thoughts?

 

Depends on what year headliner design you have.

Even with the lower headliner it doesn't fit perfectly

 

Thanks Patman. I just went out and looked at the headliner and it looks to be molded to that specific size OH Console. Probalby gonna consider other options now.
