2003 F-150 Leaf Spring Hanger Help

Well I just had one let go on me. It's the passender side rear (closest to bumper) My leaf spring is up against the underside of my bed! my question is how do I compress the leaf spring so i can put the new hanger on? I tried jacking up the bumper but all that does is let the leaf spring ride up on the bed. Any thoughts?

You're gonna have to jack up the frame, you can lift just in front of the hanger where the frame drops down to go under the cab

So when I jack up the frame this will allow me to pull down on the spring. I was jacking up where my class III hitch is and all I noticed was the end of the spring moving up my bed towards the cab. Should I get both rear tires off the ground?

Yeah don't have them further then just hovering off the ground, otherwise when you pull it down it will really fall
