Any tips for painting headlight trim?

I'm thinking of painting mine, but I'm kind of reluctant, I don't want the paint chipping off. I'd like to keep it chrome too.

It's plastic with chrome paint. I just want to put a fresh coat of chrome paint on, but I don't want it chipping. I'm debating just buying another grille.

Yea I know what they are, I painted mine black over the chrome. If you wanna keep it chrome you'll probably have to buy a new one, your not gonna find a paint that'll match chrome right.

That's what I'm thinking. I've never seen chrome paint that really looked chrome. I see there's one on ebay for $72.

Probably could go to a pick n' pull yard and find one in good condition a lot cheaper.
