Just Wanted To Share w/ Pics

Just wanted to share this with you guys. About two months ago I started piecing this project together. Mad props to Pizzaman for putting up with all my questions concerning the wiring.

These first pictures show the lights installed. I don't remember the specs on the lights other than there are 60 LEDS per strip. There is the obvious strip under mounted on the lid and then there is another one mounted face down under the lip on the rear of the tool box.

This box houses the relay. Main power source is from the battery(yes I fused at the battery) and the remote source is from the cargo light to allow for the LEDs to come on whenver the cargo light is on(dome lights on/door ajar/unlocking the vehicle via the remote) That wire is run behind the rear window trim, down and arround until it meets up with the wire coming from the battery. I deemed the slack a must in case I ever need to slide the box back for any reason and don't wish to unplug the wires from the relay.

I also installed switched power so that I could turn the LEDs on with out using the keyless remote or opening the door, etc.

awesome, you should also include a pressure switch on the box lid, so they won't accidentally stay on when the box is closed.

I had thought about that but then I wouldn't be able to turn on the outer, light whenthe lid is shut. Plus I like that that light comes on when I unlock the truck or open a door.
