Question about 7 lug F150
Were 7 lugs available on F150's in 2002? The reason I'm asking is I bought some rotors from Tirerack last November knowing I would need them this summer. I went to do them yesterday and found they sent me 7 lug rotors. So now I have to contact them and now they don't carry the ones I wanted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The funny thing about the 7-bolt pattern is that, although everyone says the pattern is rare and an oddball, it has lasted longer than the 5x135 pattern. The latter was only used 97-04 but the 7x150 pattern started in 97 and continues today...
From 97-98 the 7-bolt trucks were F-250; from 99-04 they were F-150 7700 series, due to the 7700 lbs GVWR of the truck.. In 04 the GVWR increased to 8200 lbs and has stayed that since then.
Theoretically those rotors can be used on any 4WD truck from 97-12 with the 7-bolt setup. I can't confirm for sure if they're the same from 04-12, however.
