power steering fluid leak

Hi, I have a 1998 F-150 with the 5.4 liter engine and I have a slow seeping leak of power steering fluid. The leak is happening where the rubber hose coming down from the resivuor connects to the metal line that goes to the pump it is being caused by the fitting rotting away. I know that this is a feed line and not a high pressure line so I was thinking that I could just cut off the metal line where its not rusted and put a new rubber hose in. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of what type of hose I should use and if it should be heat resistant.

There is hose specifically rated for this use.
Use anything else and it may go soft.
Ask for the correct hose and size you need at the auto parts store or replace with an OEM hose.
Good luck.
