powder coating 4.6 intake manifold
powder coating 4.6 intake manifold
Just pulled off my valve covers to send out for a chrome powder coat and clead top coat on monday. While pulling these off i did notice my intake manifold looks and feels to be of cast aluminum on my 02 4.6. My question is do you think its worth the work to pull the in take off and have it powdercoated as well? I am going to hopefully have all my black plastic caps and covers cabon fiber hydro dipped and do you guys think this would be too much? and will the coating hurt or effect any thing if i have it done properly? thanks in advance guys!
if your intake is black, then it is plastic.
but either way, i dont think it would hurt it. unless you cant powdercoat plastic that is
so how clean is your motor under the valve covers? any sludge build up??

valve train looked suprisingly good. i need to buy new gaskets this week. my boss at work dose the piwder coating and media blasting on the side so he said he might not get to it till this weekend or next but hes only charging me 80 bucks. i juat laid bath towels over everything while its exposed but will deff take a ton of pics when i get them back.
I would stencil paint a ford logo on it
